Reshmi Educational and Charitable Trust (R), was established in the year of 2004-2005 by the founder president Sri. Basalingappa Reshmi. Initially started with Primary School, today it has grown into a big tree fostering from Pre- primary to Post graduate Courses, along with Distance Education Programs from KSOU Mysore and Hampi Kannada University.

Sri Murugha Rajendra Swamiji B.Ed and M.Ed College has accredited by NAAC with “B” grade.

Sri Murugha Rajendra Swamiji B.Ed. College was established in the year 2004-05 and M.Ed. College in the year 2008-09. It is recognized by NCTE New Delhi and Affiliated to Gulbarga University, Kalaburagi. B.Ed. and M.Ed. courses offered are of four semesters each, for which the admissions are done online. The said degrees are conferred by Gulbarga University, Kalaburagi. The college has its own website www.rectglb.org/ and is frequently updated.  

The Institution has well qualified and experienced faculty members who work together as a team to pass on knowledge to the student teachers. The staffs together have been working to set high standards and achieve new mile stones. They encourage the students with a strong education framework to pool their creative skills in various components.

Various extension & Outreach activities are taken up to promote a healthy social interaction – Citizenship Training Camps, Personality Development Sessions, Blood Donation Camps, Eye- Check up Camps, AIDS Day, No Tobacco Day, White Cane Day, Plantations, Health Check-up Camp, Vaccination, Swachbharth Programme, Go Green Camp, National Science Day, Nutrition Food Camp, COVID-19 Awareness, Mask and Sanitizer Distribution etc.   

Value added Courses like, English Language Proficiency Eco Friendly Products, Arts and Crafts, Computer-Added Course, Digital Literacy, Communication Skills etc.

The college has bagged a number of ranks from its affiliated University (Gulbarga University, Kalaburagi) since its inception. Our students have also participated in literary & cultural activities, sports & games activities and won several awards & laurels. Now college preparing for 2^nd cycle NAAC.

From a humble beginning to a glorious present and promising future, our college has gradually grown from strength to strength.
