Reshmi Educational and Charitable Trust (R), Gulbarga in its pursuit of excellence in higher education, now organizing third National Conference on the theme of National Education Policy-2019.We solicit research papers from scholars and thinkers alike, from across the country to make this endeavor a tool to holistic learning. Let us take this opportunity to understand the process of education, make it relevant to the present time and add value to it.

The National Policy on Education (NPE) is a policy formulated by the Government of India to promote education amongst India’s people. The policy covers elementary education to colleges in both rural and urban India. The first NPE was promulgated in 1968 under the Indira Gandhi Government and the later by Rajiv Gandhi Government in 1986. The government of India has appointed a new committee under K. Kasturirangan to prepare a Draft for the new National Education Policy in 2017.

Notational Education Policy-2019 consists of the principles and government policies in the educational sphere as well as the collection of laws and rules that govern the operation of education systems. Education reform is a topic that is in the mainstream currently in India. In the formation of a sound society, education plays a key role. Society undergoes a constant process of evolution and this dynamism can be given a positive direction through the instrument of education that is contextual. All human endeavors are channelized towards the transference of knowledge to posterity. However, knowledge would be rendered meaningless in a fossilized form. It has to evolve and customize itself to the needs of the time. This gets us to ponder upon Technological and Contextual Education. It is a process where theory is to be constantly augmented with practice and usage. This process would not only make education meaningful but also aid the cause of employability. In this altruistic quest of investing, each individual with the necessary talent of meaningful perspective lays the larger design of a better society and a better economy. Our Conference is to serve as a think tank to look at ways to tailor education to contemporary needs and promote better education system.
